Gymboree - Lets Play Name That Line!!
Why is knowing the line name so important? Gymboree releases it's items as a collection full of mixable pieces, us obsessive Gymbo-lovers are always looking to add to our collection, when we search we do it by line name to narrow out the pages and pages of results - it's a great way to stretch a dollar, give your kids some real fashion sense and the best reason at all - if taken care of - IT RETAINS IT'S RESALE VALUE MORE THAN OTHER BRANDS......

This is actually a very short guide, I have seen a ton of Gymbo items go for next to nothing because they were either miss-named or someone didn't know the line name at all and just listed it is "Gymboree cute top" - while I LOVE getting these great buys, I thought I would pass along my, and a lot of other's secret:
(won't let me paste URLS so add www. to the front):
GYMBOHAVEN.com

This website is awesome - it keeps track of just about every Gymboree line ever made with wonderful Gymboree stock photos....also this is a great site to right-click and save stock photos to help better showcase your item.....
Example - Your Picture
Gymboree Stock Photo
Use the two together, one to show the actual item you are selling and the stock photo to showcase the item and for the display auction photo - use the stock one! Together they look great!
Plus this website also shows some of the Gymboree OUTLET lines as well (this is a newer feature they are working on)....... AND Gymbo's upscale sister company "Janie & Jack".

Pass it on to all those you know that sell Gymboree. :)
.........................while I am here giving away secrets - here's a few more......
Ever wonder how people can sell NWT (New With Tags) items so cheap or how they can make money when they sell for UNDER what the retail tag says?
A few ways:
Gymboree Visa - this is their store card you can apply for - it pays you CASH back on your Gymbo purchases - you save a percentage off when you buy from Gymboree and card holders get mailed special coupons to save even more..

Sign up at Gymboree.com (again with the www. thing) for their email - this also gives you insight to upcoming sales and specials as well as coupons... sign up by mail (postal) also to get even more (you can turn around and list these too and make a few bucks if you aren't planning on using them).....

Shop the clearance racks when you are looking for items to sale. Focus on the most popular sizes and try to buy in outfits (top/bottoms) for best resale - though listing single items also sells very well. If you can, scratch off the clearance price stickers, people like to believe they got a better buy than pay $8 for a regurally $19.50 top just to see it sold to you on clearance for .99cents.... just a friendly tip....
Gymboree several times a year releases a new line, and so you can often find really great buys on a fairly recent released line on the clearance rack for LESS than a Walmart Priced Item!
When shopping to resale, stick with tops, skirts/skorts and jeans for best bang for your buck, although leggings and hair accessories can sell well too. I have found the most popular sizes (my opinion) to be 18month, 2T-5T, 6-7. Girls sells better than the boys.
The best time to shop at Gymboree and their website is during a Gymbuck special - this is a special sale where for every $50 you spend in the store (before taxes) you get a $25 gift certif to use later on specific dates. So if you spend $50, you would get $25 in free Gymbo cash to use later on. (Also a good thing to resale if you aren't planning on using) - but YOU HAVE TO KEEP THE RECEIPT WITH THE GYMBUCKS....
If you have one of the Gymboree Learn And Play locations you can also earn Gymbucks the same way - these get a stamp on them instead of a receipt. Online store also earns Gymbucks, you have to keep the receipt with it when you use it in the store.
BTW, Gymbucks can be redeemed online also!!

Now the best secret to selling:
Pictures sell the ad. If it is wrinkled, give it a quick iron. Seriously, it's worth the time.
Hang it up on a light wall (darker clothing) for a good picture or lay it flat on the ground on top of a sheet. Smooth it out and get in close to take the pic trying to crop out as much of the background as possible. Get a pic of the details.
For lighter colored items - just the opposite - use a darker colored background.
HUGEEEEE New *Wrong Size* Bidding Tip:
On Ebay, not every size of that new line sells well. After all, you are dealing with a time issue of who is watching the auctions at that specific point in time and what sizes are people needing... with new lines, some sellers, especially during a Gymbuck earning period will stock up on multiple outfits in multiple sizes and sell with a LOW starting bid.... If you are bidding on a new line, as in one that just came out in the stores, (double check with Gymboree's website - www.gymboree.com), you can bid on "wrong sizes" on Ebay.
As in say you are needing a 7 but a Seller has a NEW WITH TAGS set in a different size, larger or smaller than what you need that is selling for a MUCH lower price, you can play a chance game that your local Gymboree store still has the size you need in stock. Buy up that non-selling size at that great price (as in I just got a pair of capris that retail currently for $24.75 and a tank that retails currently for $16.75 - right here on Ebay - both new with tags and paid $18.09 with shipping, now I will take those two pieces to my local Gymboree and say they were "a gift" and exchange them on the spot for the size I need, or if they are out of one of those styles, another piece of equal retail value..... nice!) Amount saved? $23.41. - HA!
